Seattle By Way of Train

My cousin was flying to Seattle for Thanksgiving to visit some friends and had invited me to join her.  I was living in Portland and liked the idea of seeing more of the Pacific Northwest.  Next, I had to figure out a way to get up there.  I decided on taking Amtrak http://www.amtrak.com/home.  Because, of course I thought to myself, "What's more romantic than a train ride, by yourself!?"  It caught me off guard not having a PA system screaming at me every other second with reminders about security and such and such like they do at the airport.  I did not have to take off my shoes nor stand in a long security line.  What I did have to do was get on the next train because I missed mine.  I guess I am so used to people telling me what to do and where to go.  Luckily, it wasn't a huge deal and I was only about 30 minutes behind schedule.  The train ride was quite lovely with the different scenery it provided.  You can even plug in your cell phone, lap top and grab a bagel and coffee...
